Further, the consortium will provide a forum for the member institutions to address the challenges facing not-for-profit higher education institutions and education in general today. Finally, the consortium will enable higher education to play its appropriate role, sometimes leading and always supporting efforts to add value to the community in the following areas: economic development, community service, cultural enrichment, and shared student opportunities in curricular and extracurricular activities.

Economic Development

The consortium has developed a Virtual Entrepreneur Center web site to promote economic development in Volusia/Flagler counties by directing online traffic to the appropriate resources. This site provides access to information which will aid business and industry in other areas that may be interested in relocating to this area, as well as those in the local community that may be interested in expanding their business.

Visit the Virtual Entrepreneur Center site at http://www.vfvec.org or at the "Economic Development link provided under the Quick Links.
